Tips for a cold

Colds infected adults approximately 2 – 3 times a year. Children are much more affected, because their immune systems are not yet sufficiently developed. A low-stress lifestyle, exercise and restful sleep lead to a strengthening of the immune system.

Furthermore, regular consumption of fruit and vegetables, 1.5 – 2 liters of fluid intake in the form of water or tea and a balanced varied diet to strengthen the body’s immune system is required. Certain habits, such as housing renunciation of smoking and a waiving of alcohol or a moderate alcohol intake, and regular airing of rooms and offices have a positive impact on the prevention of colds.

Elder and linden tea also act preventively. Wearing appropriate clothing and regular hand washing is necessary also to protect against colds. As a special way of strengthening the resistance to infection and sauna sessions alternating showers are recommended.
