The food your child eats is important not only now but for the rest of his life. A small child will need several different types of food for energy to play, grow and build a healthy body. Muscles and bones are forming in the first 15 years of life, and when ingested the indicated types of foods and follow a proper nutritional regime, your child can more easily avoid the disease.

The nutrition of your child should start with you. Your child will see the type of food you eat and when it does, and you can build your own eating habits from those who see you do. If you eat their breakfast quickly, your child will feel that this is normal and that is fine, while it is not. You should sit down every morning to eat breakfast in peace in order to introduce the basic nutrients to the body. While you are eating a small bowl of cereal or enjoy a glass of juice, take five minutes can promote better eating habits.

Health begins with fruits, vegetables and good portions of meat. The food pyramid is important in the early stages of life and why your child should learn to eat various foods, not just those who like for their taste or appearance. Give your children many choices in life can help them choose foods that are best for them long term. Healthy children should not eat burgers and fries every day, but should have a good eating routine built with fruits, vegetables, meats and variations of these elements.
Teaching good eating habits your child will start reading labels. Learn about preservatives and additives that are in some of the foods you are eating and talk about them as your child grows. Include foods that are completely natural or contain very few additives to create a solid start on their understanding of nutrition.
